2012 Colon Cancer Awareness Challenge

The 2012 Colon Cancer Awareness Challenge is a 15K and 4-mile run as well as a 1.7 Mile Remembrance & Prevention Walk. The Challenge offers colorectal cancer survivors, and the family and friends of those affected by colorectal cancer a unique opportunity to help raise public awareness and contribute to the fight against this often fatal, yet largely preventable disease.

March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month!

Each year in March, we raise awareness for colon cancer. Colon Cancer touches many people's lives. Here are some ways you can help raise awareness:

  • The theme for 2012 Colon Cancer Awareness Month is "FamilyPLZ". This campaign focuses on learning your family history of colon cancer, and sharing it with your doctords and family members. It is also a great way to encourage kids to get involved.  For more information click here: http://familyplz.org/ 
  • Dress In Blue Day is March 2nd.  This is a day for all of us to wear blue, and encourage as many others as we can to wear blue to help spread the word about Colon Cancer awareness month.

  • Donate to the Colon Cancer Alliance. To go to their Donate page, click here: http://goo.gl/JcWgp
  • Use Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, etc) to spread the word, and encourage your friends to join you and raise awareness.
